With everything going on in the world today many of my friends are having trouble sleeping. There were years when I didn’t sleep well at all either. I couldn’t figure out why until I stumbled upon the information I want to share with you today.
Did you know that the food we eat can have an impact on our sleep? Yeah, me either. What I discovered was what we eat, when we eat it, and how we eat has everything to do with many areas of our health, including sleep. What if I told you that our work, relationships, and environment have a lot to do with whether we sleep or not, too! When I worked at the bank I was able to “leave work at work” on the 20-minute drive home. Now, however, I work from home…so, how am I supposed to leave work at work when my commute is 20 seconds instead of minutes?
Do you leave your stress from work there when you clock out?
When you get home and your spouse greets you…do you snarl and run for the bedroom or do you embrace, hug and say “I love you”?
I have to be honest here…
I used to be the first type…carrying my stress around like a giant ball and chain. Everyone and I do mean everyone got the wrath from my day. Now though I’m better equipped to release the stress, embrace the life I’ve created. I tell my family that I love them, daily…throughout the day.
