New Blog Welcome Home Baby-Boomers

Wow! I’m so excited to be able to invite you to our new blog, our newly renovated and relocated…new “blog” home, welcome.

After many months of living in the infancy of our old blog over at WordPress.com we have moved to an upscale, more mature new blog neighborhood at WordPress.org.

You see, it’s like when we choose a neighborhood to physically live in. There are many considerations to be given when making that choice of finding a permanent residence and the same goes for choosing a permanent new blog home. There is nothing wrong with the old neighborhood; it’s just that we outgrew what it offered when we transitioned from personal blogging to a new blog for promoting our home businesses.

We even talked about the similarities of learning the new blog process compared to learning how to build up our bodies with good nutrition. I don’t know about you, but nutrition to me used to mean “just put food in your mouth and your body gets what it needs”. Do you know anyone who thinks like that? I know, me too!

But you see, for my family and me that now means taking good care of ourselves, drinking plenty of good, clean water, taking good quality vitamins and getting at least 8 hours of sleep. Since we’ve been using quality supplements, our food bill has decreased, our energy level is up and we don’t get sick like our family and friends anymore!

When one of my mentors and trainers shared with me the reason I needed to move I figured she knew what she was talking about. After all, Sandi has been working online for over 14 years, has built a $4 million dollar company using direct sales and home businesses in a Word Press environment. She has invested over $200,000 in her education to be trained by leading industry giants such as Dani Johnson, AWAI and Michael Masterson, Rich Schefren and more; so why not take advantage of all of that knowledge and expertise?

To grow our online marketing business we needed to make sure that we could stay within the guidelines of what the neighborhood would allow without fear of losing our work or our home. I had heard horror stories of losing dozens of articles and hours of hard work, from lots of my friends and just didn’t want to go down that road.

Today, I finished up the first half of a two part class, entitled “Word Press I” with Sandi Krakowski and this post is my first here at our new blog. I hope you’ll stop back by often to see what is up in Carla’s world and enjoy the adventure in my life with me.

See what is up…
